Logistics

Our company is located just 5 km from Mersin International Port, Turkey’s largest container handling port, making it one of the fastest locations in Turkey for deliveries to Europe. With three weekly Ro-Ro voyages to the Port of Trieste, deliveries to all our customers’ primary addresses are completed within a maximum of six business days.

With the Authorized Economic Operator Certificate we received on March 11, 2021, we have validated not only the reliability of our products but also our storage, shipping, and delivery operations. Our current loading areas allow for an average weekly dispatch capacity of 35 trucks, enabling us to meet customer demands efficiently and promptly. In 2022, we planned the timely delivery of 32,000 tons of products through our contracted logistics partners.

Most of our deliveries are made using tarp-covered and closed-body trucks and intermodal transportation. Intermodal transport, which is one of the most environmentally friendly methods with a low carbon footprint, accounts for 20% of our total deliveries. 75% is conducted by trucks, 3.7% by partial shipments, 1% by sea, and 0.3% by air. Due to the global shipping crisis, we have prioritized intermodal and land transportation, with a future target of 20% shipping once conditions improve.

Çimsataş has served its customers in 82 locations worldwide through exports to 18 countries since 1986.

Over the past 50 years, we have collaborated with long-standing partners. For example, ZF, a world-leading axle manufacturer we started working with in 1986, is one of our oldest clients. Çimsataş remains one of ZF’s top three forging suppliers. Similarly, since 1994, we have been the largest forging and casting supplier to Liebherr, one of the seven largest global construction machinery manufacturers. With new projects and excellent customer relations, we continue to strengthen this position each year.

Domestically and internationally, we have been a key casting supplier for Mercedes since 1999, delivering to their bus and truck factories. Additionally, we have grown alongside Steelwrist, one of northern Europe’s leading attachment part manufacturers, since 2003, evolving into a significant supplier.

In the railway sector, we have collaborated with Knorr Bremse since 2008, becoming their largest supplier for hub production. Çimsataş hubs are used in many trains operated by the German State Railways.

In Sweden, a growing market for us, we have been the largest casting supplier for Volvo CE since 2012 and for Epiroc since 2007.

In Italy, we are expanding our cooperation with Bonfiglioli, a prominent axle manufacturer.

Since 2014, we have been working with Hydac, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of hydraulic system pressure vessels, and have become their largest forging supplier.

Our partnership with Montanhydraulik, the world’s largest cylinder manufacturer, began in 2019 and is expected to grow further.

In the agricultural machinery sector, we started working with Türk Traktör in Turkey in 2007 and Claas in Germany in 2014, aiming for further growth in the coming years.

In the driveshaft industry, we have been supplying forging parts to Tirsan since 1998, Aksan Kardan since 2011, and Manisa Kardan since 2014. In 2019, we added Spain’s DANA to our customer portfolio.

While serving all these key clients, Çimsataş takes pride in enhancing its credibility with the Authorized Economic Operator Certificate. Utilizing entirely domestic raw materials for exports, we are a source of national pride for Turkey. Entering its second 50 years with a historic sales record, Çimsataş continues to expand with a young, well-educated, and skilled workforce.
